Abteilung 502 Oil Paint - Burnt Umber / Brown Wash (AKABT006)

Burnt Umber never leaves the bench once it's out of the box. A neutral, dark brown that stands on its own or forms the base of a hundred mixes, it deepens the volume in sand shades and warms up yellow or light-brown detail without tipping into grey or green. If you only bought a handful of Abteilung 502 oils, this would be one of them.

• Deepening sand and light-brown volumes
• Warming yellow or tan detail that's reading too flat
• General-purpose brown washes and shading mixes
